Sony Ericsson X1 Xperia mobile phone deals Big and Powerful

The Sony Ericsson X1 Xperia is an enormous phone packed full of new features. It rivals the iphone in size and quality. This is phone is a must have for mobile gurus everywhere. There are myriad features, including a camera, lighting fast internet connectivity, a long battery life, and lots more.

Appearance:

The Xperia is awfully big at 145g, but it’s built with casing that’s both tough and stylish. It’s available in both black and silver. Its large touch screen is smooth and flawless, and the nifty buttons and optical joystick also exude dual impressions of professionalism and stylish charm. Better still is the Xperia’s slide out QWERTY keyboard. Turn the phone sideways and this transforms the phone into a mini computer, allowing you to watch videos, surf the net, and navigate the phone’s many features with much of the same quality as a real computer.

Screen:

The TFT 66K colour screen is perhaps its biggest strength. At three inches and an 800 x 480 resolution, it is wonderfully detailed as well as finger friendly. There are several navigation options—along with the touch screen technology, you can also use the phone’s optical joystick and the four navigation keys as well as a stylus. UI includes a new option called Panel Interface, which leaves each feature the phone possesses—music, email, internet, and more—in its own separate, convenient window. This makes for a tidy, organized appearance. You won’t find any lagging, freezing, or accidental shutdowns here—the results are smooth and seamless.

Another thing worth mentioning is the Windows Mobile. Yes, some of you may wrinkle your noses at the mention of it, but PC users will find it to be an advanced, hassle free OS with many of the same features they have on their own computers, including Outlook and Exchange ActiveSync.

Also included is a plethora of convenient options such as the phonebook, calculator, calendar, alarm clock, as well as some new features, like the Flight Mode, document editor, and the document reader.

Connectivity:

The X1’s internet connection is another strong point. It’s packed with a wide assortment of options, including 3G HSDPA, HSUPA, Bluetooth, EDGE, USB,WLAN, Wi-Fi, and its own modem as well as an option to synchronise to your personal computer. You will be hard pressed to find another phone with so many options. Keeping in touch is easy with the phone’s several options such as SMS, SMS Long, MMS, and Outlook. Exchange ActiveSync allows transfers and downloads at a fast rate. The Predictive text option also makes texting easier and more accurate.

Also included is a fast, accurate quad band technology with GSM 850, GSM 900, GSM 1800 & GSM 1900.

Camera:

The phone’s camera isn’t as impressive as some, but it gets the job done well at 3.2 megapixels and a LED flash. It comes packed with other features like the auto focus, 3 x digital zoom, and lighting options. It also captures videos very well too and has a variety of features in that direction as well, including video streaming and video clips. 3G video calls will surely look amazing on the phone’s enormous screen.

Music:

The sound quality of the Xperia is quite impressive. The Windows Media player makes for an easy, convenient interface and allows for flawless synchronising between PC and phone. With the 3.5 mm headphone jack, you can listen with your own headphones or a Bluetooth if you wish. Also featured is an FM Radio DRS, PlayNow options, Bluetooth Stereo, polyphonic ringtones, and music tones.

Memory:

Perhaps the phone’s best feature would have to be its memory—with so much on it, one would expect the myriad features to sap energy away, but you are safe with up to 400 megabytes of memory plus microSD cards. Battery Life consists of over six hours of talk time and 883 hours of standby.

Verdict: This phone rivials the iphone and Blackberry Bold in terms of quality, style, and convenience. The only thing we could find that might possibly annoy users would be the problem of learning how to use so many different features, but if you’re willing to take the time to learn, this phone is well worth the effort.
