However, as competition increased, they began to overstretch themselves by offering unsustainable discounts. Eventually, customers began experiencing problems with claiming their cash back.

Delays became longer and many customers begain reporting that they were unable to redeem their cash back. Simply3G eventually underwent insolvency proceedings in 2008, leaving many customers in the cold. Most customers unfortunately never received more than a fraction of the cash back due to them.
