The Headline Grabbing Multimedia Phone
The Samsung Wave was introduced onto the market in mid-2010 amongst a wave of fanfare (pardon the pun!). It had been advertised as the flagship handset for the next generation of the brand for a number of reasons but the primary one was the fact that it incorporated a huge level of technology, most of which was brand new and considered to take the mobile phone industry to the next level. The question is does the Samsung Wave actually deliver though?
In truth, although we start looking at most phones via their aesthetic appeal, it is necessary to look at the brand new technology that is crammed into the one handset… which is certainly amazing on paper. There is a massive 1GB of inbuilt memory and there needs to be as a result of the amazing features available. For example, the brand new Samsung Bada operating system is used here for the very first time and it offers incredible speed in addition to the ability to multitask. No crashing or freezing here! There is also a GPS satnav on board, HD video recording, 5.1 surround sound and so much more. The speed of the handset is also improved by the 1GHz Hummingbird processor. Why choose second best when this is easily top of the class right now?

Moving on from the new technology, the Samsung Wave also has the usual features that you would expect of a Samsung Smartphone. The Social Hub technology is included so that you can access all your social networking sites quickly and easily. There is also a 5MP camera that comes with all sorts of extras to guarantee fabulous images, including the flash, autofocus, 4x digital zoom, face detection and smile shot.
The Samsung Wave also has an amazing appearance, largely thanks to the Super AMOLED display. This fantastic new technology is a sharp and bright display that is responsive and makes the Samsung Wave a pleasure to look at and use. The metallic finish is also an excellent move on the part of Samsung because it adds a dash of modernity as well as a whole lot of class to the handset.
There are a few minor points to make about the Samsung Wave that are quite negative. For example, there are few apps available at the moment and how many will be available in the future is yet to be determined so this may leave a little bit of a gap. The web browser is a little bit of a let down as well because it has not moved with the rest of the technology. However, it is functional and easy to use so it often draws very few complaints.
In short, the Samsung Wave is a comprehensive tablet of new technology that will delight the vast majority of mobile phone users that like to keep up with developments. It may not be the best handset for beginners given the level of technology but it has something to offer absolutely everyone. The Samsung Wave is certainly the future.
