Make a Big Impression with the Budget Touchscreen
Samsung is undoubtedly the mobile phone market leader at this present moment in time. On the back of the release of some high profile handsets, Samsung have seemed to set the tone of the mobile phone market and raised the bar for their competitors to follow suit. The high profile handsets, such as the Galaxy S, have all been expensive options but there have been a few lower budget handsets that have also had an impact on the industry and given users another option. One such handset is the Samsung Monte, but how effective is it for users?
The Samsung Monte is considered to be a budget handset but that does not detract from its beautiful aesthetic appeal. The TFT 3 inch touchscreen dominates the handset and it is very responsive. It handles incredibly well and is simple yet stylish, which seems to be the hallmark of all Samsung mobiles. It has clean and sleek lines that give it a classic appeal but is also somehow modern. The latter is down to the high gloss finish. As such, it is ideal for business or pleasure for people of all ages.

Looking below the surface, the Samsung Monte has a good range of features despite the fact that it is low budget. In fact, it has more than you would actually expect. For example, there is a good music player on board as well as a 3.2MP camera that comes complete with face detection, smile shot and 4x digital zoom. In keeping with the above two features, there is also a decent level of memory, with 200MB on board and the potential to expand it with a microSD card by up to 16GB.
There are other lovely touches that the Samsung Monte has on board that you may not expect of such a low budget phone. For example, the connectivity is excellent. It is a 3G handset and comes complete with Wi-Fi, GPS with Google Maps, USB and Bluetooth. It also has an excellent battery that lasts for quite some time without needing to charge it. Finally, it also has the TouchWiz interface that Samsung is well known for integrated into the handset so you get access to social networking sites as well.
However, there are a few niggles, which should come as no surprise given the level of features and low price. For example, there is no flash on the camera and the sound quality of the Samsung Monte is a little distorted as soon as the volume is turned up. If you have little experience with technologically advanced mobile phones then it may also be a little difficult to get to grips with. However, it is generally quite easy to figure out so it should not take much time to do so.
Overall, the Samsung Monte offers excellent value for money and should really be considered by all users looking for an affordable handset that can do almost anything you want it to. It is technologically advanced but easy to use. With a touchscreen that responds well and comprehensive features menus, you cannot afford not to consider the Samsung Monte handset when you are looking for a new one.
