It is a touch screen phone that is relatively easy to use, even if you have yet to use one. However, one of the first niggles you will come across relates to the screen because the touch mechanism is not always completely accurate. Instead, you may find yourself in the music functionality rather than the browser!
The connectivity of the phone is amazing because it packs HSDPA and Wi-Fi so you can access and download material quickly and easily, as and when you like. The Samsung Omnia already has the Opera Mobile 9.5 browser installed so you can get to surfing the Web as soon as you like. This is only one aspect of the Windows Mobile functionality the Samsung Omnia possesses though. You also get Word, Excel and all other Microsoft Office applications, which you can download and edit as and when necessary. Of course, there are other features to sink your teeth into, like a 5MP camera and comprehensive media centre. The camera has some especially nice touches, such as smile recognition, whereby it takes a photo as soon as someone smiles! However, both do have minor negatives attached to them. For example, some photos taken on the Samsung Omnia tend to be blurry and a little poor given the fact that it is as powerful. The media centre plays the vast majority of file formats but there is no jack for headphone so you may struggle to make the most of it!
Overall though, the Samsung i900 Omnia is a very good phone. However, it may be suited more to individuals with business interests rather than those with a personal need for a phone that does it all.
