Excellent Camera Phone
The Samsung i8510 Innov8 is the ideal phone for camera lovers everywhere. Its camera button shifts between the camera, video, and gallery windows. It features an 8 megapixel camera with auto focus, LED flash, an image stabilizer, 9x optical zoom, and various familiar camera settings as well as some new options such as the panorama shot, smile detector, and blink detector. The video camera is also top notch; it captures clear, smooth images at up to 120 frames per second. It also allows you to play it back in slow motion. While the camera’s flash isn’t as strong as other cameras, it gets the work done and is still very good for close up shots.
There is more to the Innov8 besides the camera, however. At 140g, it’s still fairly slim, if not solid and heavy feeling in the palm. The Innov8 has a speedy internet connection, with 3G HSDPA, Bluetooth with A2DP, WLAN Wifi, EDGE, and GPRS. The TV-Out option lets you view photos and movies stored on your phone on your TV. Its HTML browser supports zooming and automatically switches from landscape to portrait and back again depending on how you hold the phone. Keeping in touch is made easy with the IM, text messaging, MMS, and email interfaces available. The phone also lets you choose between a handy A-GPS system and Googlemaps.
Music lovers will enjoy the phone’s 3D surround sound DNSe 2.0 software and multiple music formats. Also available is an FM radio RDS as well as polyphonic and mp3 ringtones. Users will love the high quality sound and 3.5mm headphone jack.
For so many goodies, the Innov8 has a strong battery, with 8.5 hours of talk time and 310 hours of standby time. You will also have plenty of space to store your pictures, movies, games, and downloads with up to eight gigabytes of space as well as a 16 gigabyte memory card. However, with so much to do, it wouldn’t hurt for prudent users to recharge often.
