For a phone at this price range, the Genio Slide is packed with widgets and features as well. Along with three homescreens, you get a wealth of convenient little shortcuts that lead you to everything from the phone’s FM radio RDS to social networking apps like Twitter or Facebook. Not only is the screen itself responsive to the touch, but the interface itself is quite simple and a pleasure to use.
Camera:
Its camera, unfortunately, is pretty basic. At 3 megapixels, you get a 4 x digital zoom and some interesting photo editing options, but without a flash, your pictures turn out grainy even in decent lighting. The video recorder is similarly equipped, though it does allow you to stream videos and make video phone calls if you like.
Sound:
Along with the aforementioned FM radio RDS, the Genio Slide comes with a 3.5 mm headphone jack, allowing you to use your favorite set of headphones. The headphones that come in the box are worth consideration, however, as they come with a microphone as well, making it easy for hands free conversations. The sound quality itself is crisp and clear, with no sign of crackling or distortion. Again, for its price range, you can’t ask for better when it comes to quality sound and music related goodies.
Internet Connectivity:
When it comes to staying connected, you can’t ask for a better set of options, including quadband technology, 3G HDSPA, GPRS, Bluetooth, wi-fi, USB, and A GPS. Best of all, its awesome keyboard makes texting and writing emails a breeze. While some have complained that its screen is a bit small for browsing, Touchwiz is generally quite good at compensating by making it easy to zoom closer in as few commands as possible. Along with instant messaging, you also get SMS, MMS, and a perfectly capable email client.
Memory and Talk Time:
With 150 megabytes, plus 16 gigabytes of memory, this should leave you with enough space to store most of your goodies. As for talk time, despite its wide range of features and its battery sucking screen, you get up to 450 minutes of talk time and 560 hours of standby, leaving you with around two days of heavy use before the need to recharge becomes apparent.

The Samsung Genio Slide is one of the best budget phones on the market today. With its speedy and thorough internet connectivity, user friendly operating system, and top notch sound quality, there’s not a lot more you can ask from a phone of its price range. All in all, a phone that is definitely worth considering.
