Samsung Galaxy S mobile phone deals A Sturdy, Attractive Android Phone With Lots of Features

With its 4 inch Super AMOLED screen, attractive exterior, quality sound system, and other features make The Samsung Galaxy S definitely worth considering. For all of its wealth of widgets and design perks, however, this isn’t a phone that will break your wallet. While it’s not a perfect phone by any means, this is nevertheless a phone that makes it obvious that Samsung has been listening to its customer base.

Appearance:

At 119g, this isn’t a phone that will fit in your skinny jeans, though it’s not so bulky that it’s hard to hold or impossible to store. Combine its sturdy black plastic and rounded corners with its enormous 4 inch screen and you may find that it looks suspiciously close to an iphone, especially with its grid interface. For all its appearance isn’t the most original, it’s still impressive looking. Its Super AMOLED screen is not only beautifully responsive and bright, but, unlike many phones, you can also use it outdoors without worrying about if the sun will turn your screen into a mirror.

Its user interface includes seven homescreens as well as an Android 2.1 operating system. This allows you to arrange and organise each screen as you please—business apps in one, social networking apps in another, and music related widgets on yet another. Best of all, you have unlimited access to Android Market, allowing you to purchase as many goodies as you like. While the Android 2.1 is prone to glitches and freezing occasionally, its 1GHz processor keeps everything relatively responsive otherwise.

Sound:

Equipped with a 3.5 mm headphone jack, an FM radio, and a music player, you get all of the basics you need to enjoy your favourite tunes. Also included is the SoundAlive feature, which does wonders for making your headphones sound fantastic. All in all, both sound quality and music quality are top notch.

Camera:

Its camera comes equipped with a variety of unusual goodies, including Self Shot, Smile Shot, Cartoon Shot, Action Shot, and many others. However, all of the photo editing and tweaking software in the world can’t make up for a lack of a flash. Fortunately, if you stick to well lit areas, you should be able to have pictures of decent quality. Its video player is also fairly decent, and rewatching them will be a breeze on such a large, bright screen.

Internet Connectivity:

The Galaxy S also allows you to enjoy all of the connectivity classics, including wi-fi, Bluetooth, 3G HSDPA, and many others. Its gigantic screen also makes browsing, texting, and watching videos an absolute delight, especially with the addition of Swype, which allows you to simply move your fingers across the screen rather than taking the trouble to make a separate tap every time.

Memory and Talk Time:

When you consider it’s gigantic screen, speedy processor, and wealth of battery sucking widgets, it’s no surprise that this is a phone you’ll have to charge fairly often. Such is the price of such mobiles, however. On the plus side, one would think that having 32GB on its own would be enough, but Samsung designers have provided you with an additional 16GB via a microSD card, making it simple to store a truly gargantuan amount of goodies, from texts to videos.

The Samsung Galaxy S is truly a delight. It’s large, responsive screen, speedy internet, wealth of camera and music related goodies, and sinfully easy access to Android Market make using the phone an absolute joy. However, if its occasional freezing fits or lack of a camera flash fazes you, there are plenty of other Android phones to consider.
