The G600 sports a simple, but attractive, design, following the classic Samsung slide phone style. The subtle grey colour gives the thin handset a classy, sleek look that doesn’t seem to catch as many fingerprints as similar mobiles. The G600 is not as thin and narrow as some of the other popular slide phones, but this mobile is considerably thinner than the Nokia N95, the only other phone presently on the market with comparable features.

The vivid 2.2 inch full-colour display screen provides great resolution and takes up much of the phone’s face when it is closed. The navigation pad and soft keys allow you to use most of the phone’s features without opening the phone. The only complaint with this superb camera phone is that the flash is only a basic LED rather than a more functional Xenon flash, meaning photos taken in low lighting conditions lack in quality, but are still acceptable.

The G600 also features a fantastic music player with a user friendly interface that supports all major media files and includes an integrated FM radio. You can conveniently organize your songs into playlists or sort by artist or title. Playback is just as versatile, including a shuffle mode and a rating system. The music player sounds great through both the proprietary headphones and optional wireless BlueTooth headsets and the G600 will support two sets of headphones for shared listening.

Overall, the Samsung G600 is an attractive mobile phone packed with the best features. This handset is one of the smallest phones available with both a top of the line music player and an exceptional camera. Unfortunately, Samsung failed to integrate 3G technology into this handset and the G600 is lacking a few other features found in other new phones, like integrated GPS, but the Samsung G600 promises to become a fast favourite.
