Samsung F210 - A Phone With Style

Samsung F210 mobile phone deals We live in an age where everything can be considered an expression of personal style; that covers cars, clothes, hairstyles, and even your mobile phone. One of the first mobile phone makers that really understands this is Samsung.

The Samsung F210 is the follow-on to the hugely popular Samsung Blush, which worked as both a phone and as an accessory; it was stylish enough to get someone to notice, and distinctive enough that you could treat it as an accessory for almost any line of clothes, or choose a handbag to go with it. The F210 carries that idea even further. It’s a tall and slim mobile, about the dimensions of a television remote, and it’s slimming – you put it in your hand, and you have instant sophistication!

But wait, there’s more (haven’t we heard that on tale light television?) In addition to being a 3G phone, it’s also a pretty cool music player. In fact, it looks better than any music player currently on the market (Yes, I even include the iPod in that!). It stores 1 GB of music on the phone itself, and can handle up to a 2 GB memory card, letting you carry a lot of music with you, not matter where you go.

The head phones that come with the F210 are pretty good; they’re not like the disposable ear buds you’ll find with a lot of music players, and the speaker on the phone is decent for casual listening with your friends or sharing a tune in the car, though for real entertaining, you’ll want to plug in some externals.

The phone part of this Samsung combo gadget is adequate. The touch plate slides up to reveal the keypad, and there’s a scroll wheel to let you navigate through all the menu options. The engineers didn’t do that great of a job in making the menus work with the tall and skinny screen, but it’s more than usable, and taking incoming calls is a cinch.

When we ran around with it for two weeks, the biggest gripe was battery life; for something that’s going to be as constantly in use as this thing is (listening to music on the train, talking to your friends), the battery life really isn’t up to speed – they claim three hours of battery life, we regularly got about two and a half in every day usage. I guess the engineers who wrote the spec don’t listen to as much music as we do.

So, all in all – looks great, works as a good music player, and works as a phone. I’d call this one a serious winner for Samsung.
