The Samsung Champ is another addition to the ever-growing touchscreen generation. This handset is what some may regard as a budget touchscreen phone. In respects to hardware, the Champ operates with an unfortunately small resistive 2.4’’ QVGA screen. Interestingly, the Champ comes with a pull-out stylus, which could be considered as a solution for the difficult screen. The camera is also nothing special with a below-par 1.3 mega pixel. This being said, for the price tag this is what you would come to expect.
The Champ offers a few other interesting features. Take for example the stereo speakers, which offer impressive audio, and can also play the FM Radio without the need for headphones. Also, the model offers expandable memory up to 8GB through the use of Micro-SD cards.
The Champ is by no means a bad handset. In fact, the phone is ideal as a son or daughters first touch-screen mobile phone. The price and the features are ideal to ensure that users are satisfied. Nevertheless, the Champ is by no means a heavyweight in relation to its competitors.
