The Best Nokia 7900 Prism Deals

Nokia 7900 Prism mobile phone deals The Flashy, Fashionable, Fun Phone

Believe it or not, there are people who buy mobile phones sheerly by its physical appearance, and it is for these people that Nokia made its line of fashion phones, the 7 series. The Nokia 7900 Prism is an upgrade from the 7500 Prism, which has a similar keypad design, but much simpler features. It is also a better choice over the 7373 and the upgraded version, the 7390. The Nokia 7900 Prism is much flashier, and in more respects than at first glance.

Like the 7500, the keypad of the Nokia 7900 Prism has flat triangular buttons that are arranged to create a display of diamonds, though much less confusing than the multi-textured keypad of its predecessor. It’s as difficult to use when sending text messages; however, people end up pressing the wrong buttons. Those who will use this phone more for making calls will like it more, definitely.

There is no doubt that the 7900 Prism is a very attractive mobile. The ultra slim phone, only 11 mm thick, has an adequate OLED screen and the entire front, keypads included, light up in 49 different colours when in use. Keypad backlighting has never been this much fun, since you can change the colours of the backlight as often as you want. The numbers on the keypad can’t be seen when the phone is not in use, but they flash and bedazzle when the phone rings. The unit’s black casing provides a good backdrop for this lightshow, as well as for the animated living wallpaper that’s customizable and varies per phone, making full use of its 16 million colours and OLED display. The screen, by the way, is made of glass, so it does not dull over time and won’t scratch, meaning you’ll be enjoying your flashing screen for quite a while.

Aside from the pretty lights and flashy exterior, the 7900 Prism 3G phone but without a front camera for video calls. Instead, the 3G makes internet browsing really easy, and is perhaps the best feature on this form-before-function mobile phone. The 7900 is equipped with WAP, GPRS Class 10, HSCSD, EDGE and WDCMA, and comes with Opera Mini installed. Whilst battery life should last three days, Internet browsing can easily demand recharging in less than a day.

Although the 2 megapixel camera comes with an LED flash, the camera doesn’t come with an autofocus. It also has a music player and FM radio, which you can only listen to with the provided headphones, and the internal, non-expandable memory is only limited to 1 GB. If you want more songs, you’ll need another mobile music player. So the camera and the music player are only extras and not really must-have features that will further justify purchasing this mobile at its current selling price.

However, as we’ve said, those that do purchase the 7900 Prism, or any of the phones in the 7 series, are very happy with the pretty lights and flashy design. Of the various fashionable mobile phones in the Nokia 7 series, the 7900 Prism is brightly at the head of the pack.
