Nokia 6220 Classic mobile phone deals Sophistication In A Camera Handset

The Nokia 6220 is one of the new breed of Nokia phones. Realising that they had to come up with a camera phone to rival the Sony Ericsson CyberShot series, they created a masterpiece. The handset is undoubtedly one of the better camera phones the manufacturer has on offer and is worth a look if you require high quality images, but what else can it do?

The Nokia 6220 is in fact a Smartphone and most definitely looks the part. It is one of the candy bar design handsets and lives up to the label with its two colour options. Not only is the handset available in black, which has turquoise keys, but it is also available in purple. You would be forgiven for thinking that it was a candy bar when you look at it as a result of this. It is fair to say that it is not as attractive as some of the other phones on the market but then it was designed to serve a specific purpose.

The ultimate feature that is contained within the Nokia 6220 is the 5MP camera. Knowing that this type of feature was not their strong point, Nokia invested in a little help from a true expert - Carl Zeiss. The Zeiss designed lens and xenon flash gives the camera another dimension because it allows it to produce some of the best images round from a mobile phone. Only digital cameras tend to achieve this quality. The pictures or video that you take will be of such a high level that you will be biased against other phones that cannot replicate the effect in the future. The capability of this feature is only one of those the Nokia 6220 has to offer but it is definitely the best.

Some other nice touches that are offered by the Nokia 6220 include the screen, which compliments the camera well. It is a 2.2″ QVGA screen that has a resolution of 320×240 pixels and displays 16 million colours. You can only imagine what effect this will have if you have yet to see it for yourself. There is also 3G capability, thus ensuring that the Internet and general connectivity is good. With the usual bluetooth, WAP, USB, HTML, XHTML and EDGE capabilities, it seems initially that there is nothing new about this phone, but the GPS and HSDPA functionality takes it one step further.

There are also some poorer touches on the Nokia 6220. For example, the keypad can be a little unresponsive at times because you have to press the buttons relatively harder than normal to get a reaction. There is also only 120MB of memory (although that can be supplemented with a MicroSD memory card). The most notable one though is a lack of a music player. There is a FM radio but then you cannot have it all sometimes.

The Nokia 6220 is worthy of consideration if you are looking for a new handset. However, you have to make the choice as to whether you can live without music. If you can then this handset will be amongst the best you could possibly invest in.
