Nokia 6131 – The New Style In Business

.

Nokia 6131 monthly cash back offers With both Motorola and Samsung tying up the market in the clamshell mobile phone market, it takes a brave company with confidence in their handset to go up against them. However, Nokia didn’t get to the number one spot it holds today without confidence, and their 6131 mobile phone shows that confidence is well placed.

Aiming perhaps more at the business user market as opposed to Joe Bloggs on the street, the 6131 has a raft of features tucked behind its little exterior. Although not as slim as Motorola’s RAZR series, it’s still a pretty tidy little phone and weighing a light 102 grammes. And with no buttons to mess up the front of the phone, it’s a smart-looking piece of kit, too.

The only downside to there being no buttons being on the front of the phone is that the power button is now located at the side, which to those used to the button either being on the top (like many other Nokia models) or the facia itself can be distracting. However, open up the phone and you’ll see there are no problems here – large keypad buttons allow for easy use and navigation, especially with the backlight feature.

Aiding this navigation is probably one of the best screens on a mobile phone yet – with over 16 million colours, the Nokia 6131 has one of the sharpest and clearest screens on any phone. It’s just a shame that there’s no 3G support to really take advantage of it. However, pictures taken on the 1.3 mega pixel camera look vibrant, even without a flash, although obviously any pictures taken in dark light will suffer.

A more than spacious 128MB micro SD comes with this phone, and this is particularly useful for storing the contact information that the targeted business user may have. Although that’s not to say that a normal consumer won’t fall in love with this mobile phone – indeed, with true stereo headphones allowing both the radio and MP3 and various AAC music files to sound as good as any MP3 player, Nokia’s 6131 should find a market with both personal and business users.

However, it’s with the email facility that Nokia will score highly with the business fraternity. Supporting both Yahoo and Google Gmail, as well as various methods of setting up an external account to be linked to your phone, the Nokia 6131 has perhaps one of the best and user-friendly email services available, and the menu system walks you through it superbly.

When you take into account that this is a quad band GSM handset, it begins to fall into place that this is an ideal solution for the businessman on the go, who doesn’t want a large mobile communicator taking up space. And even when you’ve finished your working day, the Nokia 6131 has enough features to keep you entertained as you relax at home afterwards.
