The Nokia 5530 is the third touch screen phone from Nokia. This one is a smaller and more affordable version of the Nokia 5800. But regardless of its size, this is a “smoking” little device.
Appearance:
This little guy has a lot going on. First of all, the touch screen interface on this phone is extremely good. You have the option of using your fingers or a stylus and either way you choose it will be easy to use and responsive.
The screen really isn’t that small, at 2.9 inches with a resolution of 640×320 pixels and 16 million colors. You can also customize the home screen allowing you one touch access to music, emails and Facebook. With the new Contacts Bar you can put up to 20 of your friends and family right on the home screen.
The phone has an accelerometer allowing you to switch from portrait to landscape just by turning the phone. In portrait mode there is a virtual alphanumeric keypad and in landscape you get a full QWERTY keypad.

If you are a music lover and like to bring your music with you wherever you go, you’ll love the Nokia 5530. This device offers you a stereo FM radio with RDS also an awesome music player that is compatible with MP3, WMA, RA, AAC and M4A formats. And yes, you do get a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Camera:
The Nokia 5530 comes with a 3.2 megapixel camera with resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels, unfortunately it doesn’t come with the popular Carl Zeiss optics that are usually found in most Nokias. It does come with auto focus and an LED flash, but it’s only a single flash so your pictures can be a little dim.
Video recording is also available with resolutions up to VGA (640 x 480 pixels), so it’s does a pretty decent job.
Internet Connectivity:
The biggest disappointment with this phone is the fact that there is no 3G technology. You do however; get Bluetooth, USB and a WLAN connection, also GPRS/EDGE and HSCSD.
Memory and Talk Time:
The Nokia 5530 provides you with an impressive amount of storage. You get 70MB of built in memory and a 4GB card that comes with the phone. With the micro SD slot, you can always upgrade yolur memory to 16GB for much more storage space.
The battery life of this phone is also impressive, giving you up to 4.9 hours of talk time and up to 14 days of stand-by time. You also get up to 27 hours of music playback time.

We have to admit that the Nokia 5530 is an exciting phone. For a device in its price range, it offers some excellent features and they all seem to work flawlessly. This phone is advertised as a music phone and does not disappoint. In closing we have to say that this phone is a good deal.
