Classy and Packed with Features

The LG KF900 Prada II has all of the attractive features one would expect from a Prada phone. Unlike its predecessor, however, it makes its debut with a wide assortment of desirable features that make this phone definitely worth a second look.

Appearance:

Prada fans may be a bit shocked at this phone’s weight. At 130g, this is certainly one of LG’s heavier phones, but this is actually due to the addition of a lovely finger friendly QWERTY keyboard. It does not result in the phone being bulky or unwieldy.

Though it’s possible to type using the phone’s absolutely phenomenal three inch TFT colour touch screen, the keyboard allows for quicker, more accurate texting. Its buttons are large and even raised slightly, allowing for easy thumbing.

As for the screen, it has an incredibly user friendly interface, allowing you to browse the internet, toy with menu bars, and perform other actions with relative ease. The screen is sensitive to touch without being too sensitive.

Keyboard and enormous screen aside, the Prada II possesses all of the sleek, elegant quality of its predecessor.

 
 
Sound:

While you’ll find no 3.5 mm headphone jack, the phone’s sound quality is clear and crisp, whether you’re speaking or listening to music. It’s music player supports tunes in MP3, WAV, AAC, and WMA formats. You also get a nice FM radio to toy with as well as a variety of MP3 and polyphonic ringtones to browse through.

Camera:

Though this isn’t a camera phone, it certainly has the features of one, including 5 megapixels, a Schneider Kreuznach lens, autofocus, a digital zoom, and a LED flash. While we would have liked to see a xenon flash paired up with all of these nice features, the LED flash doesn’t take away too much in regards to quality.

You can also record, edit, and play videos. You can even create a video gallery afterward. The phone’s vibrant screen make doing this especially fun. Also included is a second camera for 3G video conferences.

Internet Connectivity:

When it comes to staying connected, the Prada II doesn’t disappoint. It’s quad band technology, plus HSDPA 2100, gives you a phone that is useable practically everywhere. You also get 3G HSDPA, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, EDGE, and GPRS for internet connections, as well as the option to hook up using your USB. This results in a wonderfully fast, smooth connection that you can use anywhere.

Texters, along with the snazzy keyboard, will enjoy SMS, MMS, instant messaging, and a nice email client, complete with document viewer.

Memory and Talk Time:

Along with sixty megabytes of space, you get a microSD memory card that gives you an additional eight gigabytes. You do only get three hours of talk time and 400 hours of standby time, however, so keep your charger close at hand. However, considering its enormous screen, lighting quick internet, and snazzy camera, it’s unsurprising that the phone should be something of a battery leech.

Verdict: The LG KF900 Prada II will please fashion addicts and gadget lovers alike. While some may be disappointed in its larger size and the absence of a xenon flash and 3.5 mm headphone jack, these are but small nitpicks. We found no bugs, no confusing features, and no real hang-ups with this phone. It is quality at LG’s finest.
