HTC Touch Diamond mobile phone deals The Ultimate Windows Mobile Phone

Both mobile phone aficionados and fans of technology have eagerly awaited the arrival of the HTC Touch Diamond mobile phone for some time now. With HTC’s boasts that it is the best Windows Mobile handset ever made, it has indeed been set a target that it was going to be incredibly hard to live up to, but has it managed to do just that? The review below will give you a good idea of the strengths and weaknesses of the phone as well as examining jus how good the HTC Touch Diamond actually is!

As a Windows Mobile, the HTC Touch Diamond is at the cutting edge of technology and has its fair share of lovely touches, but then it also serves up some niggles that may affect your enjoyment of the phone when it comes to using it. One element of the handset that definitely falls into the former category is the appearance of the phone. The handset is undoubtedly compact and incredibly sleek. The lines are clean and, although there is a diamond pattern on the back, it seems to blend well into the HTC Touch Diamond fascia.

Another lovely touch is the sheer weight of features that the HTC Touch Diamond packs. Considering it is so small, it would appear difficult to believe that there is so much below the surface, let alone smartphone capabilities. Take the connectivity for example. The connectivity is simply amazing, with bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB, GPS, HSDPA and much more, thus giving you every conceivable method of connecting that you could imagine. The two way video calling is particularly impressive as the mechanism of doing so is particularly easy.

The HTC Touch Diamond has a 3.2MP camera that produces good images and is incredibly simple to use. The images are also displayed really well on the 2.8″ screen. The resolution of the screen stands at 640×480, so you can only imagine how crystal clear they are without actually seeing them for yourself! There is also plenty of room to store all of the images that you do take on the HTC Touch Diamond because the inbuilt memory is a massive 4GB and can still be supplemented even further with a microSD card. As a result, you can store plenty of music, documents and pictures on your phone without having to think about it.

Of course, the not so nice touches do detract a little from the handset. In fact, those associated with the HTC Touch Diamond can prove to be incredibly frustrating. The battery life is a prime example of that. As HTC has packed in the features and cutting edge technology, the phone literally struggles to hold it all and drains the battery no end. On heavy use days, it may not give you a full day of battery life. The navigation controls are a little temperamental as well. If you choose to have them on the touch sensitive mode then you will have no problem but for those of you not used to touch sensitive, using it on normal then you might have to pound the keys to get them to work!

Overall though, the HTC Touch Diamond is a rather nice phone if you do want all of the possible features in one handset. However, be warned, it will take some getting used to.
