The Desire HD gives a warm welcome back to the HTC Sense user interface and Google Android operating system. Both features have been HTC’s anchor when creating smartphones, The Sense UI makes for smooth and simple navigation across the phones many functions. The ever-popular Android OS also integrates many online favourites such as Google Search, Gmail and YouTube.
The device offers a fantastic 8 megapixel camera with dual-LED flash, autofocus, geo-tagging and face detection. In addition to a superb snapper, the handset is also capable of high-definition video capture up to 720p.
Connectivity on the Desire HD is up to the standard of its predecessors, with 3G and Wi-Fi. This makes for internet access whilst on the move. The social networking integration is also boosted by the Friend Stream function that consolidates activity from all of your accounts into one.
Internet browsing remains at the level of expectation from HTC. The browser features Adobe Flash support with optimizes its performance. Zooming in on web pages also automatically fits the text to the screen, making viewing simple and easy.
