Mobile Phone Deals with a Free Android Tablet
Now you can get a brand new Android tablet like the Samsung Galaxy Tab and Motorola Xoom, FREE with your new monthly contract!
Touchscreen tablets are all the rage, and have been ever since the iPad launched. But the iPad, while brilliant fun, has it’s issues - it doesn’t support Flash in its Web browser, it doesn’t have a camera, and it’s a little pricey.
Which is where Android tablets come in - Google’s operating system is free and open source, meaning that manufacturers like Samsung and Motorola can design and ship their own touchscreen tablets. And the much wider range of tablets means that you’ll find tablets that address all the iPad’s issues.

The Android operating system features several advantages over the iPad: better notifications, app switching, and multi-tasking. Plus it features customizable widgets, and a better browser. An Android tablet is not subject to Apple’s whims when it comes to app approval. And it goes without saying that Google’s own apps are much better integrated into Android.
Each manufacturer has freedom in deciding what specifications to put into their tablets, and that gives you choice. The Motorola Xoom for example features the powerful Tegra 2 chip, which supports 3D rendering in Google maps. The flipside of this individual freedom is that Android tablets don’t have the collective branding and powerful identity of the iPad. But if you can live with this, you’ll find that Android offers a great tablet experience.
