Blackberry Bold 9000 mobile phone deals Sophisticated Email Interface

Email:

The Blackberry Bold’s email features are its biggest strength by far. While it’s commonly thought of as a business phone, personal email accounts are fairly easy to set up as well. Personal accounts have the added bonus of the Blackberry Internet Service, which to my experience is just as quick and sophisticated as anything you’ll find on your computer. The Bold also features push email, making the tedious synchronising of emails a thing of the past. BES include Lotus Domino, Microsoft Exchange, and Groupwise. Security is top notch, with AES and triple DES on the Blackberry Enterprise Server. It also comes with a keyboard lock.

Internet connectivity is another huge plus: the Bold is the first of its kind to finally have 3G HSDPA as well as Wi-Fi, allowing you to connect almost anywhere. The Bold also features quad band technology that includes GSM 850, 900, 1800, and 1900. The connection speed fairly flies, especially with EDGE speeding up file transfers and GPRS . Users can also choose between using Blackberry Maps and Google Maps.

This smartphone has the added bonus of being compatible with Bluetooth as well as having a port for USB and microSD.

Appearance:

The Bold is renowned for its sleek appearance, with its pretty mix of chic black and shiny chrome. At 133 g, it’s a bit big in comparison to smaller pocket phones. It also features a detachable leather-esque back that’s available in brown, green, gray, blue, and red.

Memory:

The Bold has an impressive amount of space as well, with 128 megabytes of flash memory as well as a MicroSD. Users are allowed up to five hours of talk time and 310 hours of battery life.

Keyboard:

Users will be pleased with the trackball mouse and simple to use QWERTY keyboard. Each key is printed clearly and raised ever so slightly, ensuring uncomplicated thumbing and scrolling. The leathery texture along the back of the phone is not only stylish, but it makes it easy to grip as well.

Screen:

The Bold’s 480 by 320 pixel screen is arguably one of the highest quality screens on the market. It is bright and colourful, with sharp detail, making it especially ideal for watching movies as well as internet browsing and reading emails and documents. Additionally, the sound is very crisp and clear.

Other Features:

The Bold also features a camera, but with two measly megapixels and a LED photo light, it doesn’t amount to much in comparison to other phones.

The media player sports a simple design and supports a variety of different audio and video programs. The Blackberry Media Sync also accepts ITunes from your computer, allowing you to turn them into BerryTunes instead. Users can also enjoy MP3 and polyphonic ringtones.

Of course, the phone comes with a stylish carrying case, a charger for on the go, its own USB cable, and headphones, though its 3.5mm headphone jack makes it so you’re welcome to use your own if you like.

Verdict:

Users will be hard pressed to find things to complain over. As mentioned, the camera leaves something to be desired. This is not a phone that will slip into your back pocket, and some may find the dark colours to be uninteresting in comparison to flashier phones. However, when one considers the plethora of other positive features, these small grumbles are but a trifle.
